It begins...

Long time, no post.  Well the holidays hit and we all know how that works....

To sum up: the construction materials were delivered, all the RFID tech has been purchased and delivered, and Steve and I made some crucial decisions on the hardware end of things.

We've decided to go with Andrew at VideoPokerTable.net's suggestion of the Logitech C920 for the cameras.  It seems to be a very good cam, and since it has been tested, and recommended, by the guy that designed this thing, how could we go wrong?

And we've narrowed the hardware down to two items to make things bit simpler: an All-In-One desktop computer to serve as the "brain", and a tablet for controlling the Action Tracker portion of the system.

The Action Tracker is a pretty cruicial element to our plans.  It is where you will enter the betting amounts for each player's action. (There isn't affordable technology yet for RFID poker chips) Without it, we could run a tournament that showed all the hole cards and looked nice, but it wouldn't have any figures for chip stack, pot size, bet amounts, etc.

So with everything in hand (minus the hardware which Steve is procuring), contruction can finally begin!
